Star Dance Ballet studio seeks to spread the love of dance through education, quality, instruction and community involvement. With an atmosphere of support and encouragement, students work to their potential while developing competence and confidence both as dancers and individuals.


We offer classes to students starting at age 2 years old . The Young Dancer series teaches students coordination, musicality, classroom etiquette, poise and posture in a fun, structured environment. Introductory ballet steps are taught in an age-appropriate manner, preparing students for Curriculum Ballet Program. The successive program, including Creative Movement, is a wonderful way to introduce your child to ballet!

Baby ballet: Age 2 years to 3.5 years old. An introduction to dance and movement.
The class emphasizes creativity, basic dance positions and steps, rhythm, coordination, and discipline in a fun environment. Class meets once per week for 30 minutes.

Pre-Ballet I: Age 4-5. An introduction to dance and movement.
The class emphasizes creativity while further building on basic dance positions and steps, rhythm, coordination, and discipline in a fun, supportive environment. Class encourages development of participation, autonomy, and confidence which are needed for future classes.

Pre- primary II: Age 5.5-6. Pre-primary continues the creative movement of dance while transitioning to a true ballet-format class. Students further explore positions, dance steps, rhythm, and coordination in a disciplined, yet fun environment. The class continues to build autonomy and confidence. Class meets once per week for 45 minutes.
Nelly Maura's passion for dance ignited at the age of 14, and by 15, she was performing professionally. She dedicated herself to mastering classical ballet, enrolling in the prestigious "School National Superior de Ballet" to study the Vaganova technique. She is RAD Advanced certified.
Nelly's career took off when she joined the esteemed "Studio Ballet Lucy Telge" in Peru.
She has been long term member of the "Ballet Municipal de Lima" company.
Nelly's passion and true calling has been teaching ballet to children. She is committed to sharing her expertise and has been privileged to support young ballerinas prepare for Royal Ballet exams.
Nelly's training also encompassed jazz, acrobatics, contemporary dance, tap, music, and dance theory. Previous to that, Nelly competed in gymnastics.
